यदा संहरते चायं कूर्मोऽङ्गानीव सर्वशः । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यः स्थिरप्रज्ञस्तदोच्यते ॥ २-६० ॥
yadā saṃharate cāyaṃ kūrmo'ṅgānīva sarvaśaḥ | indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyaḥ sthiraprajñastadocyate || 2-60 ||
— and when he draws in ; — as a tortoise its limbs, entirely ; — the senses from the sense-objects ; — then he is called of steady wisdom

And when he wholly withdraws his senses from their objects, as a tortoise draws in its limbs, then his wisdom is firmly set.
