अथ चेत्त्वमिमं धर्म्यं संग्रामं न करिष्यसि ।
ततः स्वधर्मं कीर्तिं च हित्वा पापमवाप्स्यसि ॥
२-३४ ॥
atha cettvamimaṃ dharmyaṃ saṃgrāmaṃ na kariṣyasi |
tataḥ svadharmaṃ kīrtiṃ ca hitvā pāpamavāpsyasi ||
2-34 ||
— but if you do not wage this righteous war ; — will not fight ; — then, forsaking your own dharma and your honor ; — you will incur sin But if you will not wage this righteous war, then, forsaking your own dharma and your honor, you will incur sin.
