अफलाकांक्षिभिर्यज्ञो विधिदृष्टो य इज्यते ।
यष्टव्यमित्येव मनः समाधाय स सात्त्विकः ॥
१७-११ ॥
aphalākāṃkṣibhiryajño vidhidṛṣṭo ya ijyate |
yaṣṭavyamityeva manaḥ samādhāya sa sāttvikaḥ ||
17-11 ||
The sacrifice that is offered by those not craving its fruit, as prescribed by rule, fixing the mind only on the thought 'this is to be offered' — that is sāttvic.
