आत्मसम्भाविताः स्तब्धा धनमानमदान्विताः ।
यजन्ते नामयज्ञैस्ते दम्भेनाविधपूर्वकम् ॥
१६-१७ ॥
ātmasambhāvitāḥ stabdhā dhanamānamadānvitāḥ |
yajante nāmayajñaiste dambhenāvidhapūrvakam ||
16-17 ||
Self-glorifying, stubborn, filled with the intoxication of wealth and pride, they sacrifice with sacrifices in name only, with hypocrisy and contrary to the prescribed rule.
