ततः प्रविशति प्राणे चिदर्क एकैकया कलया अपानचन्द्रम् आपूरयति यावत् पञ्चदशी तुटिः पूर्णिमा तदनन्तरं पक्षसन्धिः ग्रहणं च इति प्राग्वत् एतत् तु ऐहिकफलप्रदम् इति मासोदयः
Transliteration (IAST)
tataḥ praviśati prāṇe cidarka ekaikayā kalayā apānacandram āpūrayati yāvat pañcadaśī tuṭiḥ pūrṇimā tadanantaraṃ pakṣasandhiḥ grahaṇaṃ ca iti prāgvat etat tu aihikaphalapradam iti māsodayaḥ
Then, when the breath enters, the sun of consciousness fills the moon of apāna digit by digit, until the fifteenth tuṭi is the full-moon day. Immediately after that come the juncture of the fortnights and an eclipse, just as before; but this bestows fruit pertaining to this world. Such is the arising of the month.
