11.21

उत्तमोत्तमादिज्ञानभेदापेक्षया तेषु वर्तेत सम्पूर्णज्ञानगुरुत्यागे तु प्रायश्चित्तम् एव

Transliteration (IAST)

uttamottamādijñānabhedāpekṣayā teṣu varteta sampūrṇajñānagurutyāge tu prāyaścittam eva

— with regard to the gradation of knowledge — best-of-the-best and so on ; — he should conduct himself toward them ; — in the case of forsaking a guru of complete knowledge ; — an expiation indeed (is incurred)

He should conduct himself toward them according to the gradation of their knowledge — best-of-the-best, and so on. But in the case of forsaking a guru of complete knowledge, an expiation is indeed (incurred).
