Transliteration (IAST)

madhyas tu tridhā bhogotsukatā yadā pradhānabhūtā tadā mandatvaṃ pārameśvaramantrayogopāyatayā yatas tatra autsukyam pārameśamantrayogādeś ca yato mokṣaparyantatvam ataḥ śaktipātarūpatā

— the middling (descent), however, is threefold ; — eagerness for enjoyment ; — become predominant ; — the mildness (its mild character) ; — by way of being a means to union with the Supreme Lord's mantra ; — eagerness ; — its culmination in liberation ; — the character of being śaktipāta

The middling (descent), however, is threefold. When eagerness for enjoyment has become predominant, then there is its mild character, by way of its being a means to union with the Supreme Lord's mantra — since there the eagerness (lies in that); and because union with the Supreme Lord's mantra and the rest culminates in liberation, it has the character of śaktipāta.
