śabda-rāśi-samutthasya śakti-vargasya bhogyatām |
kalā-vilupta-vibhavo gataḥ san sa paśuḥ smṛtaḥ ||
anuṣṭubh
— (of the powers) arising from the heap of phonemes; — of the group of powers; — the state of being enjoyed; — whose glory is concealed by kalā (the limiting power); — gone (to); — being; — he; — the bound soul (literally, beast); — is called, is reckoned
He who, his innate glory concealed by limited power (kalā), becomes object of enjoyment for the group of powers arising from the heap of phonemes — he is called paśu (bound soul).
