सामर्थ्यं यदि कल्प्येत तन्नामानन्त्यमेव वा ॥४॥
sāmarthyaṃ yadi kalpyeta tannāmānantyameva vā
— capacity ; — if ; — were posited (as distinct) ; — then indeed ; — an (infinite) regress ; — or

If (Śiva's) capacity were posited as something (distinct from him), then indeed an infinite regress (of further capacities) would follow.
