18.32
अधर्मं धर्ममिति या बुद्ध्यते तमसान्विता । सर्वार्थान्विपरीतांश्च बुद्धिः सा तामसी मता ॥ १८-३२ ॥
adharmaṃ dharmamiti yā buddhyate tamasānvitā | sarvārthānviparītāṃśca buddhiḥ sā tāmasī matā || 18-32 ||
— which holds adharma to be dharma ; — conceives, enveloped in darkness ; — and all things reversed ; — that intellect is held tāmasic

The intellect that, enveloped in darkness, conceives adharma as dharma and all things in reverse — that is held to be tāmasic.
