यत्तु कामेप्सुना कर्म साहङ्कारेण वा पुनः ।
क्रियते क्लेशबहुलं तद्राजसमिति स्मृतम् ॥
१८-२४ ॥
yattu kāmepsunā karma sāhaṅkāreṇa vā punaḥ |
kriyate kleśabahulaṃ tadrājasamiti smṛtam ||
18-24 ||
— but action which by one craving desire ; — or again with egoism ; — is done, abounding in toil ; — that is held to be rājasic But action that is done with much toil by one craving desire, or again with egoism — that is held to be rājasic.
