कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं मित्रद्रोहे च पातकम् ।
कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम् ॥
१-३९ ॥
kulakṣayakṛtaṃ doṣaṃ mitradrohe ca pātakam |
kathaṃ na jñeyamasmābhiḥ pāpādasmānnivartitum ||
1-39 ||
— the evil wrought by the ruin of the family; — and the sin in the betrayal of friends; — how should it not be understood by us; — so as to turn back from this sin
the evil wrought in the destruction of a family and the crime in the betrayal of friends — how should we not know enough to turn back from this sin?
