मन्त्रार्थं मन्त्रचैतन्यं यो न जानाति साधकः ।
शतलक्षप्रजप्तोऽपि तस्य मन्त्रो न सिद्ध्यति ॥३१॥
mantrārthaṃ mantracaitanyaṃ yo na jānāti sādhakaḥ |
śatalakṣaprajapto'pi tasya mantro na siddhyati ||31||
— the meaning of the mantra; — the living force of the mantra; — who; — not; — knows; — the aspirant; — though recited a hundred lakh times; — even; — his; — mantra; — not; — succeeds, bears fruit
The aspirant who does not know the meaning of the mantra and its living force—though he recite it ten million times, his mantra does not bear fruit.
