6.29

चतुर्युगानाम् एकसप्तत्या मन्वन्तरम् मन्वन्तरैः चतुर्दशभिः ब्राह्मं दिनं ब्रह्मदिनान्ते कालाग्निदग्धे लोकत्रये अन्यत्र च लोकत्रये धूमप्रस्वापिते सर्वे जना वेगवद् अग्निप्रेरिता जनलोके प्रलयाकलीभूय तिष्ठन्ति

Transliteration (IAST)

caturyugānām ekasaptatyā manvantaram manvantaraiḥ caturdaśabhiḥ brāhmaṃ dinaṃ brahmadinānte kālāgnidagdhe lokatraye anyatra ca lokatraye dhūmaprasvāpite sarve janā vegavad agnipreritā janaloke pralayākalībhūya tiṣṭhanti

— by seventy-one cycles of four ages ; — a Manvantara (an age of a Manu) ; — by fourteen ; — a day of Brahmā ; — burned by the fire of time ; — in the triple world ; — lulled to sleep by smoke ; — driven swiftly by the fire ; — in the Jana world ; — having become pralayākalas (souls dormant in dissolution) ; — they remain

By seventy-one cycles of four ages there is a Manvantara; by fourteen Manvantaras, a day of Brahmā. At the end of Brahmā's day, when the triple world is burned by the fire of time and another triple world is lulled to sleep by smoke, all beings, driven swiftly by the fire, having become pralayākalas, abide in the Jana world.
