bhedadarśana iva anādiśivasannidhau muktaśivānāṃ sṛṣṭilayādikṛtyeṣu mandatīvrāt śaktipātāt sadguruviṣayā yiyāsā bhavati asadguruviṣayāyāṃ tu tirobhāva eva asadgurutas tu sadgurugamanaṃ śaktipātād eva
Just as in the dualist view the liberated Śivas, in the presence of the beginningless Śiva, (engage) in the functions of emanation, dissolution, and the rest — (so here): from the mild-intense śaktipāta arises the desire to resort to a true guru. But when that (desire) is directed toward a false guru, it is mere concealment; whereas the going from a false guru to a true guru is itself solely from śaktipāta.
