When that (thirty-sixth) is taught or contemplated, the ground-station that supports it is the thirty-seventh; and when that too is being contemplated, there is the thirty-eighth. Yet there is no infinite regress, since for that which, when contemplated, is endowed with undelimited autonomy, the making of it into an object of knowledge terminates at the thirty-seventh; whereas the thirty-sixth, by its transcending all the principles, is of a conceivable delimitation. Such is the scheme of the five segments.
