10.16

विज्ञानाकलपर्यन्तम् आत्मकला ईशान्तं विद्याकला शिष्टं शिवकला इति त्रितत्त्वविधिः

Transliteration (IAST)

vijñānākalaparyantam ātmakalā īśāntaṃ vidyākalā śiṣṭaṃ śivakalā iti tritattvavidhiḥ

— up to the Vijñānākala ; — the segment of the self (Ātma-kalā) ; — up to Īśvara ; — the segment of knowledge (Vidyā-kalā) ; — the remainder ; — the segment of Śiva (Śiva-kalā) ; — the scheme of three principles (the threefold reckoning)

Up to the Vijñānākala is the Ātma-kalā (segment of the self); up to Īśvara is the Vidyā-kalā (segment of knowledge); the remainder is the Śiva-kalā (segment of Śiva). Such is the threefold reckoning.
