यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जनः ।
स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते ॥
३-२० ॥
yadyadācarati śreṣṭhastattadevetaro janaḥ |
sa yatpramāṇaṃ kurute lokastadanuvartate ||
3-20 ||
— whatever the noblest does ; — just that other men do ; — whatever standard he sets ; — the world follows that Whatever the noblest man does, just that the rest do; whatever standard he sets, the world follows it.
