प्रवृत्तिं च निवृत्तिं च कार्याकार्ये भयाभये । बन्धं मोक्षं च या बुद्धिर्वेद सा पार्थ सात्वकी मता ॥ १८-३० ॥
pravṛttiṃ ca nivṛttiṃ ca kāryākārye bhayābhaye | bandhaṃ mokṣaṃ ca yā buddhirveda sā pārtha sātvakī matā || 18-30 ||
— activity and cessation ; — what is to be done and not done, fear and fearlessness ; — bondage and liberation — which intellect ; — knows, that, O Pārtha, is held sāttvic

The intellect which knows activity and cessation, what is to be done and what is not, fear and fearlessness, bondage and liberation — that, O Pārtha, is held to be sāttvic.
