स च पञ्चकः अनुसन्धेस् तावत्त्वात्

Transliteration (IAST)

sa ca pañcakaḥ anusandhes tāvattvāt

— a set of five ; — of the (kinds of) intentional purpose ; — because they are just so many (five)

And it is a set of five, because the kinds of intentional purpose are just that many.
