3.18

भुङ्क्ते परवशो भोगं तद्भावात्संसरेदतः । संसृतिप्रलयस्यास्य कारणं सम्प्रचक्ष्महे ॥१८॥

bhuṅkte para-vaśo bhogaṃ tad-bhāvāt saṃsared ataḥ | saṃsṛti-pralayasyāsya kāraṇaṃ sampracakṣmahe ||

anuṣṭubh

— he experiences ; — subjugated by another ; — experience, enjoyment ; — because of that state (of bondage) ; — would transmigrate ; — therefore ; — of the cessation of saṃsāra ; — his ; — the cause ; — we shall declare

Subject to another, he undergoes experience; because of that he transmigrates. We shall now declare the cause of the cessation of this transmigration.
