उपविश्याऽसने ज्ञानी प्राङ्मुखो वाप्युदङ्मुखः । स्ववामे शिष्यमानीय कारुण्येनाऽवलोकयेत् ॥१३२॥
upaviśyā'sane jñānī prāṅmukho vāpyudaṅmukhaḥ | svavāme śiṣyamānīya kāruṇyenā'valokayet ||132||
— having seated himself on a seat ; — the knower (guru) ; — facing east ; — or facing north ; — on his own left ; — the disciple ; — having brought ; — with compassion ; — should gaze upon

The knower, seated and facing east or north, having brought the disciple to his left, should gaze upon him with compassion.
