— and that (pavitraka) ; — knotted to the number of the tattvas (principles) ; — knotted to the number of the words, kalās, worlds, phonemes, and mantras ; — reaching to the knee ; — reaching to the navel ; — reaching to the throat ; — on the head ; — four pavitrakas ; — for the deity and for the guru ; — by contemplating that form as filled with the whole course (of the six paths) ; — should give ; — one for the rest

And that pavitraka is knotted to the number of the tattvas, and knotted to the number of the words, kalās, worlds, phonemes, and mantras: one reaching to the knee, another to the navel, another to the throat, another upon the head — these four pavitrakas one should give to the deity and to the guru, contemplating that form as filled with the entire course of the paths; and one for the rest.
