1.156

एवं विज्ञानमालम्ब्य योगिनो जायते शिवः । तीर्थादिषु च जात्योऽपि स्नानादिषु न कारणम् ॥१५६॥

evaṃ vijñānam ālambya yogino jāyate śivaḥ | tīrthādiṣu ca jātyo'pi snānādiṣu na kāraṇam

anuṣṭubh

— relying on this gnosis ; — the yogin becomes Śiva ; — in pilgrimage places, etc. ; — even if of (some) caste-birth ; — in bathing etc., (there is) no requirement

Depending on this Vijñāna, the yogin becomes Śiva. Even with birth in tīrthas, ritual bathing and such are no longer the cause (of his liberation).
