एवम् एकस्मिन् समानमरुति वर्षद्वयं श्वासप्रश्वासयोगाभावात्

Transliteration (IAST)

evam ekasmin samānamaruti varṣadvayaṃ śvāsapraśvāsayogābhāvāt

— in a single ; — samāna-wind ; — a span of two years ; — because of the absence of conjunction with inhalation and exhalation

Thus in a single samāna-wind there is a span of two years, because it is unconnected with (the alternation of) inhalation and exhalation.
