14.16

तत इत्थं विचारयेत् भोगेच्छोः शुभं न शोधयेत्

Transliteration (IAST)

tata itthaṃ vicārayet bhogecchoḥ śubhaṃ na śodhayet

— then in this manner ; — should deliberate (discriminate) ; — of one who desires enjoyment ; — the auspicious (meritorious karman) ; — he should not purify (eliminate)

Then he should deliberate in this manner: for one who desires worldly enjoyment, he should not purify away the auspicious karman.
