4.75

तथाभिनवजातस्य तानाम्ना संगमः कथम् । तत्संगमस्यासत्यत्वे यन्त्रवश्यादिकं कथम् ॥७५॥

tathābhinavajātasya tānāmnā saṃgamaḥ katham | tatsaṃgamasyāsatyatve yantravaśyādikaṃ katham

— likewise ; — of one newly born ; — with that name ; — conjunction ; — how ; — of that conjunction ; — if (it be) unreal ; — subjugation by (magical) devices and the like ; — how (effective)?

Likewise, how (could) one newly born have any (prior) conjunction with that name (assigned him)? And if that conjunction be unreal, how (could) subjugation by (mantra-)devices and the like (ever take effect)?
