1.39

पृष्ठशून्यं मूलशून्यं युगपद्भावयेच्च यः । शरीरनिरपेक्षिण्या शक्त्या शून्यमना भवेत् ॥३९॥

pṛṣṭhaśūnyaṃ mūlaśūnyaṃ yugapad bhāvayec ca yaḥ | śarīranirapekṣiṇyā śaktyā śūnyamanā bhavet

anuṣṭubh

— the void behind ; — the void at the base ; — should simultaneously contemplate ; — and ; — whoever ; — by the Power independent of the body ; — becomes void-minded

Whoever simultaneously contemplates the void at the back and the void at the root — by a Śakti indifferent to the body, one becomes mind-of-void.
