संप्राप्ता वक्त्रकुहरं कण्ठादिस्थानभागशः । वैखरी कथ्यते सैव बहिर्वासनया क्रमात् ॥७॥
saṃprāptā vaktrakuharaṃ kaṇṭhādisthānabhāgaśaḥ | vaikharī kathyate saiva bahirvāsanayā kramāt
— having reached ; — the cavity of the mouth ; — at the several points of articulation beginning with the throat ; — the Vaikharī (Articulated speech) ; — is called ; — that very (Word) ; — by the outward latent disposition ; — successively

Having reached the cavity of the mouth, at the several points of articulation beginning with the throat, that very (Word), by the outward (impelling) disposition, is in succession called Vaikharī (Articulated speech).
