3.112
ब्राह्मे मुहूर्ते चोत्थाय प्रणम्य ब्रह्मदं गुरुम् । ध्यात्वा च परमं ब्रह्म यथाशक्ति मनुं स्मरेत् । पूर्ववत् प्रणमेद् ब्रह्म प्रातःकृत्यमिदं स्मृतम् ॥११२॥
brāhme muhūrte cotthāya praṇamya brahmadaṃ gurum | dhyātvā ca paramaṃ brahma yathāśakti manuṃ smaret | pūrvavat praṇamed brahma prātaḥkṛtyamidaṃ smṛtam ||112||
— in the brāhma (hour before dawn) ; — in the (auspicious) muhūrta ; — and having risen ; — having saluted ; — the giver of Brahman ; — the guru ; — having meditated on ; — and ; — supreme ; — Brahman ; — according to ability ; — the mantra ; — should recall, recite ; — as before ; — should bow to Brahman ; — this morning observance ; — is taught

Having risen in the brāhma muhūrta and saluted the guru who gives Brahman, and meditated on the supreme Brahman, one should recite the mantra as best one can and bow to Brahman as before—this is taught as the morning observance.
