1.20

वशी लक्षं मन्त्रं प्रजपति हविष्याशनरतो दिवा मातर्युष्मच्चरणयुगलध्याननिपुणः । परं नक्तं नग्नो निधुवनविनोदेन च मनुं जपेल्लक्षं स स्यात् स्मरहरसमानः क्षितितले ॥२०॥

vaśī lakṣaṃ mantraṃ prajapati haviṣyāśana-rato | divā mātar yuṣmac-caraṇa-yugala-dhyāna-nipuṇaḥ | paraṃ naktaṃ nagno nidhuvana-vinodena ca manuṃ | japel lakṣaṃ sa syāt smara-hara-samānaḥ kṣiti-tale ||20||

śikhariṇī

— self-controlled ; — a hundred thousand ; — (times) the mantra ; — recites ; — devoted to sacrificial food ; — by day ; — O Mother ; — skilled in meditation on Thy pair of feet ; — moreover ; — at night ; — naked ; — in the sport of love ; — and ; — the mantra ; — should recite ; — a hundred thousand (times) ; — he ; — would become ; — the equal of the Slayer of Smara ; — on the earth

Self-controlled, living on sacrificial food, by day skilful in meditation on Thy pair of feet, he recites Thy mantra one hundred thousand times; then at night, naked, in the pastime of love, he recites it another hundred thousand times — that man, O Mother, becomes upon earth the equal of the Slayer of Smara.
