1.15

श्मशानस्थः सुस्थो गलितचिकुरो दिक्पटधरः सहस्रं त्वर्कार्णां निजगलितवीर्येण कुसुमम् । जपंस्त्वत्प्रत्येकं मनुमपि तव ध्याननिरतो महाकालि स्वैरं स भवति धरित्रीपरिवृढः ॥१५॥

śmaśāna-sthaḥ sustho galita-cikuro dik-paṭa-dharaḥ | sahasraṃ tv arkārṇāṃ nija-galita-vīryeṇa kusumam | japaṃs tvat-pratyekaṃ manum api tava dhyāna-nirato | mahākāli svairaṃ sa bhavati dharitrī-parivṛḍhaḥ ||15||

— standing in the cremation ground ; — well-poised ; — with loosened hair ; — wearing the directions as garment (sky-clad) ; — a thousand ; — indeed ; — of arka-flowers ; — with his own fallen seed ; — the flower (offering) ; — reciting ; — each separate (syllable of) thy (mantra) ; — the mantra ; — even ; — thy ; — absorbed in meditation ; — O Great Kālī ; — at will ; — he ; — becomes ; — lord of the earth

Standing well-poised in the cremation ground, with loosened hair, clothed in the four directions, offering a thousand arka-flowers smeared with his own seed, absorbed in meditation on Thee while reciting Thy mantra in private — that man, O Great Kālī, becomes at will the lord of the earth.
