17.2

ततः साधारणमन्त्रेण शिवीकृते अग्नौ व्रतशुद्धिं कुर्यात् तन्मन्त्रसम्पुटं नाम कृत्वा प्रायश्चित्तं शोधयामि इति स्वाहान्तं शतं जुहुयात्

Transliteration (IAST)

tataḥ sādhāraṇamantreṇa śivīkṛte agnau vrataśuddhiṃ kuryāt tanmantrasampuṭaṃ nāma kṛtvā prāyaścittaṃ śodhayāmi iti svāhāntaṃ śataṃ juhuyāt

— with the common mantra ; — in the fire made into Śiva ; — he should perform the purification of the (former) observance ; — enclosing (the formula) within that mantra ; — having inserted the name ; — (saying) I purify the expiation ; — ending in svāhā ; — he should offer a hundred oblations

Then, in the fire made into Śiva by the common mantra, he should perform the purification of the (former) observance: having enclosed the formula within that mantra and inserted the name, he should offer a hundred oblations ending in svāhā, (saying) "I purify the expiation."
