3.116

अभुक्तो वाऽपि भुक्तो वा स्नातो वाऽस्नात एव वा । साधयेत् परमं मन्त्रं स्वेच्छाचारेण साधकः ॥११६॥

abhukto vā'pi bhukto vā snāto vā'snāta eva vā | sādhayet paramaṃ mantraṃ svecchācāreṇa sādhakaḥ ||116||

— not having eaten ; — or even ; — having eaten ; — or ; — bathed ; — or unbathed ; — indeed ; — or ; — should perform ; — supreme ; — the mantra ; — at his own will ; — the aspirant

Whether he has eaten or not, whether bathed or unbathed, the aspirant should perform the supreme mantra at his own will.
