कुरङ्गाक्षीवृन्दं तमनुसरति प्रेमतरलं
वशस्तस्य क्षोणीपतिरपि कुबेरप्रतिनिधिः ।
रिपुः कारागारं कलयति च तं केलिकलया
चिरं जीवन्मुक्तः प्रभवति स भक्तः प्रतिजनुः ॥२२॥
kuraṅgākṣī-vṛndaṃ tam anusarati prema-taralaṃ |
vaśas tasya kṣoṇī-patir api kubera-pratinidhiḥ |
ripuḥ kārāgāraṃ kalayati ca taṃ keli-kalayā |
ciraṃ jīvan-muktaḥ prabhavati sa bhaktaḥ pratijanuḥ ||22||

Throngs of doe-eyed women follow him, trembling with love; the king of the land is in his power, a very Kubera of wealth; his enemy he counts as if a prison were only sport — and long, liberated-while-living, that devotee prevails, birth after birth.
