श्रद्धया परयोपेतं तपस्तत्त्रिविधम् नरैः ।
अफलाकांक्षिभिर्युक्तैः सात्त्विकं परिचक्षते ॥
१७-१७ ॥
śraddhayā parayopetaṃ tapastattrividham naraiḥ |
aphalākāṃkṣibhiryuktaiḥ sāttvikaṃ paricakṣate ||
17-17 ||
— endowed with supreme faith ; — that threefold austerity, by men ; — who are disciplined and crave no fruit ; — they declare to be sāttvic That threefold austerity, practised with supreme faith by disciplined men who crave no fruit, they declare to be sāttvic.
